Privacy Policy

The short version
- Nabby doesn't collect your data. Everything it saves stays on your Mac.
- Your clipboard history and the text in your screenshots are encrypted, with a key kept in your Keychain.
- There's no account, no cloud and no analytics. We never see what you copy or capture.
- The only connection is to the App Store, to check your subscription.
What Nabby stores on your Mac
- Clipboard history: text, links, code and images you copy, with the name of the app you copied from. Stored encrypted.
- Screenshot index: a reference to each screenshot in the folder you chose, and the text recognized in it. The text is stored encrypted. Your screenshot files stay where macOS saved them.
- Settings: your preferences, like your shortcut and accent color.
The encryption key is created on your Mac and kept in your Keychain. This data never leaves your Mac and we have no way to access it.
What Nabby doesn't do
- It doesn't send your clipboard, screenshots or their text anywhere.
- It doesn't record your screen or your keystrokes.
- It doesn't read files outside the screenshot folder you choose.
- It doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
What Nabby skips
Items copied from password managers are never saved. By default, Nabby also skips text that looks like an API key, token or card number. You can change this in Settings › Clipboard.
Permissions
- Screenshot folder: read access to the one folder you pick, to find and index your screenshots. Nabby changes a file only when you rename it or move it to the Trash.
- Pasting (optional): permission to send ⌘V to the app you're using, so Nabby can paste the item you pick. Nabby sends nothing else.
- Clipboard: Nabby reads the clipboard after each copy to build your history. macOS may show its own notice about this.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. Nabby checks your subscription status with Apple, and Apple does not share your name, email or payment details with us. Apple's privacy policy applies to purchases.
Support email
If you email us, we receive what you send, like your email address and message. Contact Support in Nabby opens your mail app with your Nabby and macOS version filled in. Nothing is sent until you press send. We use your email only to answer you.
This website
nabby.app uses privacy friendly analytics that count page visits without cookies and without identifying you. No cookies are set and no data is sold or shared for advertising.
Deleting your data
Clear your clipboard history in Settings › Clipboard, or delete all clipboard and screenshot history in Settings › Privacy & Permissions. Your screenshot files are not deleted by this.
Children
Nabby doesn't knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
